In Boulogne-sur-Mer, a port naturally geared towards fishing activities, several icehouses appeared. The company &#8220;LES GLACIERES BOULONNAISES&#8221; was one of them. Founded in 1902, its purpose was the production of water ice (flake ice is made from water).   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now known as FRANCEGEL, our ice plant based in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the Hauts-de-France region is today the largest in France.
