Ships

RESPONSIBLE, SUSTAINABLE AND CONTROLLED FISHING

Our fishing fleets — CAP BOURBON, Armement Favrou and Scopale — fish in demanding and protected environments. For us, preserving marine resources is a non-negotiable commitment.

Our actions:

  • Strict adherence to quotas, TACs and international regulations.
  • Selective fishing methods:
    • Longline fishing for Patagonian toothfish (TAAF)
    • Lobster pot
    • Regulated scallop dredging
  • Full traceability from the fishing grounds to distribution.
    MSC-certified fisheries for Patagonian toothfish and Dieppe scallops.
  • Contribution to scientific programs and stock monitoring with the authorities.
    Maintenance and modernization of the fleet to reduce environmental impact.

SAFETY, HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF OUR TEAMS

The Group’s strength lies in its women and men: sailors, technicians, logistics teams, operators, and support staff. Their safety and working conditions are at the heart of our social policy.

Our CSR commitments:

  • QHSE programs deployed across all sites.
  • Risk prevention, regular training, safety drills.
  • Support for sailors on land and at sea: safety of maneuvers, appropriate equipment, rest, prevention.
  • Integration and training of new employees.
  • Internal career development path within the Group.

FOOD QUALITY, HYGIENE AND SAFETY

At the heart of our business of recovery (CONEGAN) and cold storage logistics (NORFRIGO), rigorous quality guides all our operations.

Our commitments:

  • Maintaining a high level of standards: quality controls, internal audits, European health certifications and approvals.
  • Compliance with good hygiene practices throughout the entire chain: fishing – processing – storage – shipping.
  • Smooth, reliable and completely transparent traceability.
  • Suivi continu des températures et maîtrise du froid, du navire au consommateur.

REDUCING OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Within an energy-intensive sector (refrigeration, transport, fishing), we are deploying structural investments to reduce our consumption.

Actions taken:

  • Energy optimization of cold storage warehouses (NORFRIGO).
  • Modernization of refrigeration systems: improved efficiency, energy recovery, intelligent control.
  • Optimizing container filling and logistics flows to reduce carbon footprint.
  • Waste reduction and sorting, recovery of co-products.
  • Continuous improvement projects on emissions at sea (CAP BOURBON, Favrou, Scopale).
